My story...

Willow is a native of Baltimore, Maryland.  She is the youngest of six children to Thomas and the late Mary E. Newman.

Willow received her education in the Baltimore City Public School system.  A proud graduate of Western Senior High School, it was there, she was a member of the track and field and cross country teams, as well as Class Historian for the Class of 1984.  She continued her education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Willow is an active member of the branch of Zion called Shiloh located in Baltimore, Maryland.  She serves on the Courtesy Circle and the Excellent Praise Dance Ministry.  In years past, she has served on the Young Adult Usher Board and the Young Adult Ministry.

She is the founder, writer, director and producer of Joyfulnoise Productions, a theatrical production company dedicated to spiritually and culturally rich productions designed to empower and encourage people of all ages.  Some of her works include:  After they met Jesus, Christmas at Vickie's, The Night Before Christmas, For Better or Worse, and the highly acclaimed, We Are the Drum. Although Willow enjoys the theater, her first passion is dance.  In addition to ministering through dance locally, Willow has performed in recitals throughout the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.  More recently she has along with other members of Expressions of Faith been featured in several Kuumble Ensemble productions.

Willow is known for her dry wit and sense of humor.  She believes there is nothing more important than serving the Lord and spending time with family and friends.  She enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, watching sports and exercising.  She is in constant awe of the undying love God has for her.
